Intelligent natural selection or imaginary evolution
3- Elsewhere in the Qur’an, it says: It is true that We created man from progeny from clay (Sura al-Mu’minun, 11).
One of the meanings of progeny is offspring. For example, we tell Sadat that these are from the progeny of the Prophet. Therefore, the phrase progeny means several generations later. That is, it can be said that previous generations of human beings were created from soil. And there have been several generations between creation of soil and human creation, which can be a confirmation of the theory of evolution.
That is, in short, there have been several generations between the creation of soil and the creation of man.
بَدَأَ خَلْقَ الْإِنْسانِ مِنْ طینٍ ثُمَّ جَعَلَ نَسْلَهُ مِنْ سُلالَةٍ مِنْ ماءٍ مَهینٍ
4- That is, “He began the creation of man from clay, then created his offspring from a small amount of water.”
Here, firstly, he says: We created man from mud, and as previously mentioned by Imam Baqir (AS), man was created before Adam. So Adam was from the human race. Secondly, the use of the word bada, which indicates the zero point of human creation It can refer to the long conditions that have passed since man came into being.
Proponents of evolution (Sahabi, 1387: 189) have taken this verse as a reason to prove evolution and have said the beginning of the verse which discusses the creation of flowers. It speaks of a single-celled being who is the origin of living beings. And the continuation of the verse, which speaks of the human race, speaks of the creation of man from the sperm of previous animals. “Then” also refers to the time interval between that single cell and man.
According to some (Meshkini, Bita: 33; Sahabi, 1387: 172 and 178) the word “then”, which represents the distance between the creation of soil and the creation of sperm, is compatible with evolution. From the time of his creation from the soil and the gradual stages of evolution, from cell to animal to human sperm, man has taken a long time, which has been interpreted as “then”.
