This narration has also been quoted in Sunni hadith books. The hadith of Kisa in “Sahih Muslim” is as follows: Aisha says: One day the Messenger of God came out and wore a robe that was woven from black hair. First, Hassan (AS) came and placed him under his cloak; After him, Hussein (AS) came, he also placed him under the cloak, then Fatima came and was under the cloak, then Ali (AS) came and put him with the others under the cloak; He gave a place and said: God only desires to remove impurity from you, Ahl al-Bayt, and to purify you with a thorough purification.”[10]
Ibn Hajar says in Sawa’iq al-Muharraqa: It has reached the correct document that the Prophet (PBUH) threw someone on those four people. Then he said: O God! These are my family and my special ones, remove the evil from them and purify them. [11] Ibn Athir has quoted this hadith in Asad al-Ghabeh [12] and Ahmad ibn Hanbal in his Musnad [13], and Ibn Taymiyyah says in Minhaj al-Sunnah: Muslim has also quoted Aisha in her Sahih. ”[14]
This narration has also been mentioned in Sunni commentary books. Zamakhshari in Al-Kashaf, [15] Fakhr Razi in Al-Tafsir Al-Kabir [16] and each of Qurtubi [17], Ibn Kathir [18] and Suyuti [19] have quoted the hadith of Kisa in their commentaries. Qurtubi [20] in the interpretation of the verse of purification has quoted from Umm Salma as follows: When the verse of purification was revealed, the Messenger of God, Ali (AS) and Fatima (AS) and Hassan (AS) and Hussein (AS) were called and upon them Someone covered Khyber.
Imam Ali (AS) mentions the hadith of Kesa in stating one of the reasons for his legitimacy to the caliphate and succession of the Prophet (PBUH) and reminds the Caliph: And your children? He said: Rather, you and your family. He said: To God! Were my family and children subject to the call of the Prophet of God (PBUH) on the day of Kesa: “O God! They are like a family that is on its way to you, not to the fire “or you?” [21]
Also, Imam Ali (AS) in the council that the second caliph had formed to appoint the next caliph, testified to the hadith of Kesa for his superiority in the matter of rule and succession of the Prophet (PBUH). [22] When the companions of the Prophet (PBUH) were proud of each other for their virtues, Imam Ali (AS) mentioned the hadith of Kesa in expressing his superiority and that of his Ahl al-Bayt (AS).
