What are the duties of a Muslim person

If one joins the religion of Islam. In addition to believing in God and the Prophet of Islam and the resurrection, he must perform a series of actions, which are called obligatory.

 A Muslim should not do a series of acts, which are called forbidden. There are a number of actions, which are useful to do, which they are called  Approbating. There are a number of things, which are harmful to do, which are called abominable.

Fasting

 It is obligatory for every Muslim to fast. Fasting means: Muslims should avoid eating and drinking for one month each year from dawn to dusk. The reason for fasting may be that man understands the blessings of God and that Muslims also understand the living conditions of hungry and poor people. Perhaps another reason is to relax his digestive and urinary systems. The fasting month is Ramadan.

Hajj

It is obligatory on every Muslim to go to the Kaaba (House of God) once in his life, and perform a series of specific acts.

Zakat

Zakat

Zakat means paying 10 percent of the proceeds from agricultural products such as wheat-barley-rice-dates … and animal products such as –cattle– cows-sheep and … to poor people.

Khums

It is obligatory in the religion of Shi’ism to pay 20% of the annual profits (Shi’a Muslim deduct all expenses and calculate 20% of the profits) to the Imam, or his representative, or the authority of imitation. The imam or imitation authority uses this amount to help the needy and revive religion. Thus the Imam or his representative does not need the financial support of the ruler and the kings. Therefore, religion is independent of the state.

Hijab

Hijab means covering. Before describing the hijab, it is better to explain the two terms Mahram and Unmahram. In Islam husband and wife together are Mahram.

What are the cleaner (motaharat)

 In Islam, both the spiritual and the physical aspects of man have been taken into consideration. If one is an infidel, or an idolater. This person is intrinsically unclean. Although clean and tidy in appearance. The only way to purify his inner self is to believe in the principle of monotheism.
